Dogs of War

This photo was taken while I was walking around the garden with my dogs (Ruby and Layla). A photo doesn’t neccessarily have to be in focus to be aesthetically pleasing. A blurry photo can create an interesting sense of the movement and mood of a subject. Don’t delete photos just because they are out of focus, play around with them and see what they might reveal.

Although the dogs were merely playing, the scene comes across as violent and unsettling and the lack of colour further emphasises its incongruous quality.

I might be totally off the mark, what do you think? Is it just a bad photograph?
